How's that for a few acronyms? Reminds me of: "ABC, MFP, STP ... LSD gotta hold a me". I can't recall where I first heard that line though.
The nasty consumer threats we have been reading about lately can be tied to Bush, the GOP, and the Republican platform in general. Because BushCo and the GOP continue to place Corporate GREED and financial-footsie-with-China ahead of protecting the American Public by impeding the government agencies and the budgets they need to do the work they were established to do. My point is this: every time you vote for a Republican, you are voting AGAINST YOUR OWN BEST INTERESTS, and in favor of these dangerous threats to consumer health and safety.
"The Pump Handle" is a reference to a Blog I just discovered. Even Main Stream Media has begun to reference and quote "The Pump Handle". It is a Blog authored by Scientists and others, some of whom have ties (past/present) to some or all of these agencies:
FDA = Food & Drug Administration
EPA = Environmental Protection Agency
OSHA = Occupational Safety and Health Administration

Toothpaste laced with industrial toxins, from China.
Dried apples preserved with a cancer-causing chemical from China.
Frozen catfish laden with carcinogenic antibiotics from China.
Scallops and sardines coated with putrefying bacteria from China.
Mushrooms laced with illegal pesticides from China.
Tainted Chinese dietary supplements.
Toxic Chinese cosmetics.
Counterfeit Chinese medicines.
Melamine-tainted poison pet food from China.
Lead in kids' toys manufactured in China.
Counterfeit medical supplies from China, like Diabetes, Pregnancy, and HIV test kits.
Chicken, pork and fish with tainted Chinese pet food ingredients.
Mining disasters.
Popcorn lung disease.
Etc, etc, etc.
